How do I make my way to Tel Dan to explore its ancient ruins?

The 2008 season formally runs from June 22 until July 17 (with an additional analytical work week, during which the real “enthusiasts” have the option of helping the staff tie up any loose ends of measurement, artifact registration, drafting, or architectural clarification).

Please remember to include a snail mail check for the $75 registration fee (refundable if applicant is not accepted).

Room and Board costs:

Although the formal excavation season runs from June 22 to July 17, volunteers have the option of customizing the period of their stay. Applicants indicate the preferred length of stay and whether they wish to receive academic college credit from Hebrew Union College. These prices cover room and board, including the weekends for volunteers who elect not to travel on weekends.

1 week (without weekend) $400

2 weeks (including one weekend) $800

3 weeks (including two weekends) $1150

4 weeks (including three weekends) $1450

5 weeks (including four weekends) $1750

*Airfare is not included in the above costs.

College Credit:

Volunteers who complete the four-week excavation program and regularly attend afternoon lectures are eligible to receive 3 transferable college credits from Hebrew Union College for a total cost of $500.
